THE STALKING OF KAYLA: How the great romance began.

Well all good Soap romances seem to start in the most twisted of ways and Steve and Kayla are no exception. How is a bad boy like Patch Johnson ever going to meet a sweet and gentle Nurse like Kayla Brady. He gets paid to stalk her of course.

Steve had just lost the woman he loved Britta (yuk editorial comment) because she was forced to leave town by the evil Victor Kiriakis. Steve blamed Bo and Victor for Britta leaving so he was in a mood for revenge. And along comes evil Emma who is planning to kidnap Kim Brady's baby. Well she has one problem the doctor in Cleveland she wants to sell the baby to has a nurse named Kayla Brady. So Emma wants Kayla out of Cleveland so she asks Steve to scare her out of town. Steve gleefully agrees to terrorize Bo's big sister.

Steve goes to Cleveland and breaks into Kayla's apartment. While he is there Kayla arrives and he goes to hide in the closet.
Steve gets a better look at Kayla then he expected in that closet.
Inside the closet Steve watches Kayla undress. When she finally goes to bed he slips out of the closet and starts to sing to her. He sings "Rock A Bye Baby" which interestingly enough he will sing to her again in better circumstances.

When Kayla leaves Steve breaks into her apartment and trashes the place. He also leaves her a yellow rose placed on the phone which he has left off the hook.

Kayla returns as Steve is just finishing up and he goes to hide in the closet again. Kayla is very upset and she calls the police. As she goes into the bathroom Steve comes out of the closet. He puts the nurses cap on the closest door and slams the front door to make sure Kayla knows he was there.

Kayla decides after getting a call from her sister Kim about family problems that it is time to go back to Salem. Of course the fact that a lunatic is stalking her helped her make up her mind.
